Eight out of ten colours done on the monster rainbow stained glass window afghan. Watch this space.
Meanwhile, a spot more yarn-bombing, because sometimes a lass needs a break from crocheting round and round (and round) and round a stained glass window.
So, I have a plan, now. This:-

will be applied right about here, on the tower of our brewery:-

So far, we have a few of the railing-cosies:-
And we have knitted pigeons:-

Watch this space…
Oh wow – the railing are going to look just wonderful. Pigeons are so lifelike – if I tried they would resemble anything other than pigeons! Love the colours of the cosies too.
Thank you. 🙂
The pigeons are so cute! I don’t like real pigeons, but I love these!
As someone else pointed out, at least these ones don’t poop everywhere.
Oh my gosh. The pigeons are hilarious. I love them!
Thank you!
Oh wow!! Love the ‘cosies’ and the pigeons – this is going to be so wonderful …. 🙂
…or bonkers. 🙂
Looking good! 🙂
Thanks!
Love the pigeons. Have you booked onto one of the workshops for the Bower bird? They look like a lot of fun.
No, I live far too far away to go to one of her workshops, but I think she might have put the pattern on her blog. Otherwise I’ll have to find something else similar.
Fab pigeons!!!
Thank you.
How exciting! Obviously the pigeons are a big hit, and I add my like to them. Can’t wait to see the finished project. It will be such a hit of beautiful colour in such a dreary, long winter. I love it!! 🙂
It will be a tiny bit insane.
I love insanity of that kind! 😉
🙂
Me too. You have to have fun and laughter, brightness and colour. It makes the world spin better. 😉
Agreed. Definitely agreed.
Addendum to my other comment: I love all of the stitch variations in the railing sleeves — awesome!
🙂
The cosies are sooooo pretty! It’s going to be fabulous!
Thank you!
Oh yes! It is going to look fabulous. The colours for the railings are so bright, strong and vibrant. Just what is needed here in the UK Have always admired your pigeons but all that hard work on them, will they survive the British elements? Cannot wait to see the monster stained glass crochet!
Hmm, I think I’ll have to bring the pigeons in after a bit. Not sure they’d last long out there.
I love the pigeons!
Thank you. 🙂
How fun and inventive of you! Love the poopless pigeons 🙂 ❤
Ha ha, yup, at least I won’t be cleaning up poop from these blighters.
Those pigeons are amazing! You’re so creative and so busy, your blog is a treat to read.
Thank you. You’re very kind. And your blog is much more elegant than mine. 🙂
Oh wow…that is going to be so cool! The pigeons are a riot! Love it!
Thank you! I just need to figure out how to stop the pigeons falling off, as their legs are a little flimsy!
That is going to look amazing. And I love love love the pigeons! They’re hilarious.
Thanks!
Can’t wait to see this project finished!I have to get some colour lessons from you!Great project and great combination! Congrats!
Thank you! I’m not being very original by sticking to rainbows at the moment, but it’s so dull and grey here at the moment that we need some bright shades.
I am impressed how quickly you are realising this project. The rainbow colours will look beautiful and I love the pigeons. That is so funny. Although maybe real ones will feel invited to join 🙂
Anyway I can’t wait to see a picture of the result
Thank you. I hope the real ones don’t attack the knitted ones! :-O
When does this all go live? We’re all primed, now, to see the display!
ha ha, don’t hold your breath.
I need to finish this ****ing planet-sized rainbow afghan, first. But I’m doing little bits of railing between rounds of afghan.
Oh my gosh–knitted pigeons!! Where did you find that pattern?
Here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/my-pet-pigeons , if you’re on Ravelry? It’s a well-written pattern – I recommend it.
That’s going to look pretty, loving the colours and the pigeons are so clever. Look forward to seeing the finished project.
Thank you.
Oh my! I love those pigeons 🙂
Thank you.
It’s going to look fantastic, would just love to see the faces of your neighbours, it will brighten up village life for a bit.
Thank you. I’m not sure my neighbours’ faces will be entirely approving…
Lol, these are fab, really made me smile. Love the pigeons, they’re hilarious. Maybe you could have them nonchalantly sitting down if their legs are a bit flimsy?
Yes, I think they’ll have to be sitting. Lazy pigeons. It’ll be OK.
Wow!! Love this so much 🙂
Thank you. I’m trying not to let the plan get out of hand and over-ambitious…
That is a great idea. I can’t wait to see more pictures.
Thank you. It’ll take a little while because I do need to finish this pesky planet-sized afghan…
I am overwhelmed by the awesomeness of those pigeons!
Ha ha! Maybe I should knit some pigeon poo to go with them…
I am eager to see it when it is completed. http://craftyprojectsilike.wordpress.com/
