Oops, I’ve been a bit quiet on here. With apologies to my lovely bloggy acquaintances whom I’ve neglected. Normal chattiness will be restored shortly. Life has irritatingly intervened. I do wish it wouldn’t do that. Doesn’t it realize that I have priorities?
Anyway, I’m still temporarily swerving a little away from the housey theme of this blog, to indulge my longstanding love of Adriafil Knitcol (not to mention my longstanding love of the toddler twinnage ๐ ) and make a few of these in different colour-ways:-
Actually, I think it’s a bit narrow at the top, so I’ve already ripped (ouch) out the top half and am in the process of grumpily re-knitting it. With emphasis on the grumpiness.
Oh, and whilst staying with a friend, I found some more spring flowers for another rainbow collage. Didn’t even have to sneak off to the garden centre and cheat this time. Spring has most definitely well and truly sprung round here, though judging from comments on my previous posts this certainly isn’t the case everywhere else.

Perfect… what fantastic yarn!

Gorgeous colors! Don’t you just love ripping? I usually do it when I’ve already screwed up so bad I can’t fix it …… hopefully as time goes on I won’t screw up quite so much – and yes – it is spring even in Maine. Not a real warm spring yet but the snow is gone! All 900 inches of it.
The Twisted Yarn says
No snow? At last! You don’t mess around with snowfall up there. (Can you tell that I’m a tiny bit envious?)

You’re very talented! Great stuff! ๐

Awww, thank you.

I love your rainbow collage! That is a very impressive range of colours, particularly without using the garden centre.

Thank you!

Love the colours in the tank top – and great modelling too! I think a future career beckons for one of your twins! ๐ x
The Twisted Yarn says
Ha ha! Thank you. They’re not the most biddable of children when facing a camera, though.
thecontentedcrafter says
Love the sample twinnage model – way cool pose! Why is it I wonder, whenever I put something over my face when a camera appears, I get yelled at? The colour combinations are also fab!
The Twisted Yarn says
Thank you! And I do usually grumble at them when they hide their faces for the camera, but this pose was perfect for the blog.

Gorgeous tank top ! But can I expect to see anything less here ๐ And that rainbow blossom collage is just too good … perfect colours, splendid photography.

How are you going to keep that child from out-growing the vest, now that you’ve worked so hard on it?! The flower collage makes me smile!
The Twisted Yarn says
I never feed my children. That should keep ’em small. ๐
threadandethel says
I’m mesmerized by the green flowers. They look so cheerful. I’m really enjoying the vest as well. I’d never heard of that yarnโฆseems worth looking in to. ๐

…It’s on sale at Deramores at the moment…. (and they do ship worldwide). And no, nobody from Deramores is paying me to say this!
The Twisted Yarn says
I do recommend the yarn. It’s reduced at Deramores at the moment… (And they ship worldwide.)
I think the green flowers are euphorbia (sp??) When they stop blooming, my rainbows will be a bit empty in the middle.

Amazing! I could never in a million years do the knitting/crocheting that you do, and it astounds me that you can do this so beautifully. You are very talented.
Spring has finally sprung here in Eastern Ontario, Canada (sort of). The snow has gone at last, the rivers are in flood, the wildlife has returned , tearing up our properties looking for food — sure indications of spring. At least the terrible cold and snow is gone, Easter was really good— we move forward. ๐
The Twisted Yarn says
Trust me, there’s nothing difficult about any of this stuff. I’m a relative newbie. There is no reason in the world why you couldn’t do it. Glad your winter has finally released its grip. So what sort of wildlife is tearing up your properties – sounds quite extreme!

Love that rainbow setting on your camera ๐ And spring has finally sprung, here at the 53rd parallel on the Canadian prairies… YAY!!! To celebrate, I took my fibrous flowers for a walk around our neighbourhood ๐ โค <3
The Twisted Yarn says
Yay indeed, at LAST! May it be a warm and beautiful spring.

tank top looks great, as did the jumpers you did in that yarn earlier. Trying to guess which twin it is?! Rainbow flowers lovely – you’ll have to show me how to do the joined up photos please!
The Twisted Yarn says
Thank you. It’s M in the photo. Happy to show you how to do the photos. I used Picmonkey, which is fab free online photo editing.

If I tried to rip something out and pick up in the middle of it to reknit the top, it would end up looking like a starfish or an octopus. You are my new hero. Kudos.
The Twisted Yarn says
Ha ha, thanks but I’m not worthy of being anyone’s hero! I discovered a way of doing it, though, so that it worked. I inserted a circular needle in all the stitches that I wanted to frog down to, so I knew that all was secure before I frogged. Surprisingly, it worked. Otherwise, it’d definitely have been starfish/octopus time.
