For those of you remember Robyn-the-robin (my cheeky avian friend who fed from my hand and generally bossed me about for two summers), you may be interested in this. When you're procrastinating about the things you should be doing, so you get out the blanket you crocheted in 2014 to start weaving in the 4000 ends (NOT an exaggeration) of slippery cotton yarn. Currently working at approximately 120 ends per hour. That means it'll take over 33 hours...

Hello far-too-lovely folk. This one's about Robyn-the-robin. I haven't seen her for quite a while... and the last few times she visited, she really looked her age. Sorry to be the bearer of probably-bad news, but I think she's gone forever. 😢 And much as I like to think my heart is cold and impregnable, I really, really, REALLY miss her bold and cheeky attitude. Today I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I'm fine, and looking on the bright side, I now have the perfect excuse to lounge on the sofa and knit even more than usual for the next few months. 😁 Normal silliness and yarniness will continue both here and on the blog, because that's just how I roll. Also, DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW DIFFICULT IT IS TO CROCHET A BREAST TUMOUR?! I mean, viruses look kinda cute and quirky under the microscope, but breast cancers are just BLOBS. So... I will not be releasing a pattern for this rather rubbish piece of crochet.

S/he's currently hiding behind various objects in the garden near his/her one - or possibly two - sibling(s) - also called Wilfred, because they're indistinguishable from each other. (Hmm, maybe I should have taken that approach to naming with my own identical twins...)
