Hello blog, my fine friend.
But something in the switch from knitting to crochet appears to have translated the reindeer into a moose.
I’m not sure what a moose is doing in the southern English countryside on which the scene is based: it must have been hiking for some time. But the pattern will be done fairly soon, at which point I’ll publish it on this site for free. 🙂
So let’s get down to business, because there’s a giveaway winner to announce. It could be you, so you’d best put the champagne on ice, just in case. Just to remind you, here was the giveaway prize that I got very, very, excited about in this post:-
There can be only one winner. But may I say a huge THANK YOU for the 151 entries received here or on Facebook. I won’t faff about further because you know the drill by now. The oracle that is random.org has spoken, and it has chosen as the winner:-
Who is this mysterious person? Why, it’s none other than Mags Hobby. Hurrah! Congratulations Mags! You are going to absolutely LOVE this book. I will be in touch to request your address, so that the publishers can send out your prize. Enjoy. 🙂
And to everyone else, commiserations. In Search Of The World’s Finest Wools is available worldwide now, and in my humble opinion is well worth the price. There will be more giveaways soon on this blog, so stay tuned for more chances to win.
Meanwhile please excuse me, because I’ve got a cowl pattern to finish.
Thanks again to Firefly Books for generously providing the prize as well as my review copy.
